Walk in Her Shoes 2026

Everyday thousands of women and girls, all over the world, have no choice but to walk many miles to fetch water for their families. Water that is often dirty. Their daily routine deprives them of the chance to have an education, a job, and traps them in a cycle of poverty.

CARE's Walk in Her Shoes is a healthy and flexible challenge, trying to understand the feelings of women and girls living in poverty and raise funds to support them. This year is the 15^th anniversary.

Your entry fees and donations for “Walk in Her Shoes 2026” will be used, excluding various expenses related to the operation of this campaign, through CARE International Japan’s overseas project in Timor-Leste, the “Livelihood and Nutrition Improvement Project in Remote Communities,” and will be carefully utilized to improve access to water for agriculture and daily living in remote communities.

（１）Walk in her Shoes, anytime and anywhere you like

There are early entry period and late entry period for entries.

・The entry fees and discount settings differ for each entry period.
・We recommend applying during the early entry period, when early bird discounts are available.
・The special price for the team only applies to teams of 3 or more people. It does not apply if you decide to join a team after registering individually.

Step2: Initial settings to report your footsteps

Please complete your initial settings on pedometer app “ALKOO” (App store or Google Play) or website for manual entry.

※You can check how to complete your initial settings on the email that you will receive after mid-February.

Step3: Walk anytime and anywhere you like

When you walk, you can think about women and girls in developing countries, walking 8,000 steps (approx.6km) a day for water access.During the campaign, let’s aim to achieve 1.4 billion steps by adding everyone’s steps!You can see the other participants’ steps and ranking on the ranking list.

▶For every 500 steps, 1 yen will be donated by our corporate sponsors!
▶2 people and 2 teams will be randomly selected each month, and they will receive awards from our sponsors.

（２）Let’s walk together wearing original T-shirts!

This year, we will be selling original designed T-shirts for the Walk in Her Shoes 2026 campaign.　Let's all walk together with this original T-shirts to motivate ourselves!　We recommend you to purchase early as T-shirts quantity is limited.※T-shirts will be shipped sequentially after mid-February.

（４）Double your donation!　"More Support" Charity

If you donate other than the entry fee, matching donations from our corporate sponsors will double the amount of your additional donations. You can donate 1,000 yen or more.

（５）Join a charity walk event.

（８）Post GPS Art with hashtag "#歩く国際協力2026" and "#GPSアート"

Our corporate sponsors will make donations based on the number of posts with #歩く国際協力2026 and #GPSアート! We are also holding a GPS art contest with various awards!

Step2: Post it with hashtag #歩く国際協力2026 and “#GPSアート”on Instagram, Facebook, or X.
