Walk in Her Shoes

Every day thousands of women and girls, all over the world, have no choice but to walk many miles to fetch water for their families. Water that is often dirty. Their daily routine deprives them of the chance to have an education, a job, and traps them in a cycle of poverty.

CARE's Walk in Her Shoes is a healthy and flexible challenge, trying to understand the feelings of women and girls living in poverty and raise funds to support them.

Your entry fee and donation through this campaign will go to CARE International Japan working around the world to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. We put women and girls in the centre because we know we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

How to Join

（１）Walk in her Shoes, anytime and any place you like

Step1: Sign up here / entry fee \3,000
Step2: Walk in Her Shoes from March 8th to May 31st
Step3: Report your footsteps in "my page" or pedometer app "ALKOO"(App is Japanese text only)

Every 500 steps, \1 will go to CARE's work defeating poverty
Let's enjoy footsteps ranking with other participants across Japan.

（４）Post "C" with #arukucharity

At every post with #歩く国際協力, \100 will go to CARE's work defeating poverty.
And we hold a photo contest! (Ex. best smile award, good view award)
Step1: Take a photo of "C", the initial letter of CARE
Step2: Post it with hashtag #歩く国際協力 or #arukucharity on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
