【Tokyo Marathon 2023 Charity】Thank you for your support and cooperation!

The Tokyo Marathon 2023 was held on March 5, 2023. CARE International Japan participated in the event for the first time as a charity donor organization.

63 charity runners donated to CARE which fight poverty, and achieve social justice. Prior to the race, we were able to meet and express our gratitude to them who came from all over the world at the Tokyo Marathon EXPO 2023, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight from the 2nd to the 4th of March.

We held a Charity Runners Dinner on the evening of the 3rd. They enjoyed talking with each other in a Japanese "Izakaya" style, and it was hard to believe that they had never met each other before.

On the day of the race, we treated the finishers of the 42.195 km race to refreshments and massages in the Charity Lounge after the finish. The massages were a big hit with the runners, who were able to relax their tired bodies! Thank you to all the pro bonos who helped out!

We were thrilled to receive many warm words of encouragement from the charity runners, who said they enjoyed the event and were honored to run as CARE's charity runners.
